Stuart Bishop Racing Cut Short at the Australian Nationals |
11-Sep-2010 Stuart Bishop and his Diamond Doorslammer has fallen short of making it through to eliminations due to a broken clutch linkage which pulled him through on the line on the final qualifying pass. The team was hoping to make it through the to the end field but the bump was at 6.326. Previous best pass of the Diamond Door slammer being 6.527 at 227.11 Mph. It was an unexpected day of racing with the likes of Victor Bray, Ben Bray and current number one door slammer John Zappia also having missed out on qualifying.
The team stepped up their already impressive Pit Area by launching the new Diamond Lounge today. On a personal note – good friend to Stuart Bishop, Tony De Felice has made it through to eliminations for the first time running a 6.201 pass at 232.35 Mph. Congratulations from all the Stuart Bishop Racing team. Top Event Pics
Neil McDermott commented on 14-Sep-2010 10:02 PM Dear Stuart, I want to say thanks and well done for the corporate hospitality on Saturday. The team were welcoming, happy to share their knowledge with drag racing novices and did not mind having their work overlooked at critical times. Having the function integrated with the pits was a great success -steamed asparagus spears and doorslammer fumes make an intriguing combination. And being on the start line was a fantastic experience. It was a pity about the race result but good luck for the rest of the season. Regards Neil |
